On Thursday, March 3, 2022, at noon, I will join a panel discussion at the College Art Association’s Annual Conference on the topic of “Photography and Slow Violence.” The panel will be chaired by Dr. Danielle Jean Stewart (Univ. of Warwick) & Dr. Isabela Muci (Princeton), and moderated by Thyago Nogueira (Instituto Moreira Salles, Brazil).
Other papers will include “Seeing the Landscape as Full or Empty: Re-visioning the Encounter of Photography and Indigenous Lands (Jordan Reznick, San Jose State University) & A Sustainable History of (Latin American) Photography: Contemporary Practices in the Climate Crisis Era (Cristina Elena Pardo Porto, The Graduate Center, City University of New York).
